Description:

QuickBooks and QuickBooks Point of Sale have certain limitations on what data you can input into them. Certain things like Image file references, and long descriptions are missing from QuickBooks for example. The item detail editor provides an interface for inputting this information.

Item detail editor extends the data that you can send to your site from a synchronization

This data includes:

• Name
• Image File reference, usualy just the name of the image file. Multiple images may be used if supported by the cart (UberCart in particular). Separate each image file with a semicolon i.e. file1.jpg;file2.jpg
• Weight
• Category, Taxonomy can be dictated by using a colon between each level. i.e. Shirts:Mens:TShirt would look like:
     Shirts
       Mens
         TShirt
• Full Description. (HTML can be used if the cart supports it).

How it works:

1. Bringing up the item detail editor will show a list of products from your QuickBooks / QuickBooks Point of sale. This list will just show the master products that are uploaded to the site. Not the products that make up attributes based on your settings.

   

2. Select the item you want to edit from the list.

   

3. Update the information and save.
4. On the next Courier synchronization the data will be uploaded to your site.
